Annette Abbate graduated from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Bachelor’s in Health Science. She is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and New York Physical Therapy Association (NYPTA). A lifetime athlete, Annette has played high level sports and NCAA Division II Softball while studying at USP. In addition, Annette was the Vice President of the Central Atlantic Athletic Conference (CAAC) Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) and President of USP SAAC.
As part of her doctoral degree, Annette completed clinical affiliations treating a variety of patients with conditions ranging from simple orthopedic to medically complex in the pediatric, adult and geriatric populations. Annette has been part of the multidisciplinary management of patients in the acute, sub-acute, and outpatient pediatric & adult orthopaedic settings.
While at USP, Annette also participated in a Pro-Bono Experiential Learning Experience at Mercy Wellness Center. This experience provided underserved residents of West Philadelphia with access to physical therapy services while hands on learning occurred through faculty mentorship.
Her clinical interests include treating neuro-musculoskeletal conditions and post surgical patients. She enjoys treating a variety of diagnoses but particularly enjoys helping older adults stay active, independent, and confident. Annie is also interested in treating children on the Autism Spectrum and Sensory Processing Disorders using a sensory integration framework.
Annie believes in offering high quality one on one Physical Therapy in the comfort of her client's home apartments, and motivating her clients with her energy, knowledge, empathy, and dedication.
